Very nice place but not ideal for when the weather is hot, no fan and poor ventilation, so uncomfortable could not sleep prior to climbing Schafel Pike the next day. Otherwise food and service was excellent. Bathroom was newly renovated

Only stayed for one night and didn’t eat so can’t comment on the food, however the rooms, bathrooms, and pub were all lovely.
Rooms cosy and spotless. Great modern bathrooms with an amazing shower.
Amenities perfect for a short stay.
Arrived a bit later in the evening, but the staff were accommodating and made sure we checked in okay.
Very close to Scafell Pike and other hikes so a good base for that.
Will definitely return if I’m in the area again
