Beautifully renovated apartment. Clean, spacious, great mountain views from deck.
You need to carry your luggage down 2 flights of outdoor steps to basement apartment (dangerous if wet or icy). Parking on street at top is very tight (and neighbours complained about us parking there). On arrival both the washing machine and dryer were being used by owner, full of commercial linen, so we could not use either and they were left on for 3-4hrs after we got there. Could hear people moving around above us. Bedroom wardrobe and drawers were also full of commercial linen, so unable to be used. No tea towels provided in kitchen. Backyard was overgrown and messy, but great views from the partially finished decking.

Such a great apartment! Beautifully presented and great kitchen facilities. It was located approximately 20 -25 minutes from the bus station and the Hurtigruten ferry terminal only a minute further on. The walk to the apartment from the bus station is uphill, so definitely call a cab or Uber if you aren’t fit or have heavy bags. When we got to the apartment we dropped off our bags and went to the supermarket which was a 5-7 minutes walk away on flat ground. I’m not 100% sure but I think restaurants are all located in the very centre of the town.
The apartment heating can be regulated in each room. The only problem we had was turning off the bathroom heating, I couldn’t work out how to do that. It didn’t matter to us, we just shut the bathroom door. It certainly didn’t detract from the stay. I would certainly go back again.
