Horrendous

Spacious.

Location - the location was in the middle of a residential area, next to a mosque and a building site. Not suited to holiday makers as it is a good 30min taxi ride to the beach and anywhere of any interest to the tourist. The apartment was spacious, however, the bed was extremely hard like sleeping on concrete, the running water if you could call it that was no more than a dribble from the taps and God forbid you need to wash your hands after the toilet. We didn't use the shower as there was no point. Cleanliness was ok ish but there were still pieces of food on the floor of the living room when we arrived and hairs in one of the bathrooms. We were woken every hour from 3 am with the call to prayer from the mosque over the road. There was a shop over the road fortunately so we could get something to eat and drink but we were not comfortable in the area as it was more for the local community and as foreigners we were very out of our depth. Having travelled in many countries we understand local traditions and cultures are a part of travelling, however we were very uncomfortable in this location, so much so that we only stayed 1 of the 7 nights we had booked. We found another hotel in a far better location for the tourist and managed to get in there for the remainder of our holiday. No refund from the property for only staying for 1 night. WiFi- we had to wait for approx 3 hours for a WiFi router to be brought to the property so we could have some sort of connection to the outside world. Would not return.
