Could have been better.

The location was nice and quiet, not too touristy. The site has a heated pool and the town of Fishguard is very quaint and quiet. We especially enjoyed lower Fishguard harbour

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with our stay. On arrival, we found the oven unusable, with the door removed and a note saying a replacement was awaited. We had received no prior warning, despite being a family of six with young children, and planning to cook meals throughout the week. The replacement was then delayed because the wrong cooker had been ordered, and a workman arrived at 8:30am without any prior notice while we were still in our pyjamas preparing breakfast. The rear door also would not open. This was particularly concerning as it appeared to be the only alternative exit if a fire in the kitchen blocked the main entrance. We also found a glass containing what appeared to be urine with mould floating in it in a bedroom cupboard , and the fridge subsequently stopped working due to an electrical fault. Thankfully we discovered this before our food spoiled and managed to keep the fridge running temporarily using an extension lead. Communication throughout was poor, with messages going unanswered and no clear arrangements being made regarding the cooker. We were also only informed after arrival of the amount of the additional pet charge, despite the listing only stating that charges “may be applicable”. Most concerning was the conduct of the site manager. During a conversation with me, she used racist language when referring to previous guests and made derogatory comments about another guest’s weight. Around ten minutes after leaving our caravan, we then overheard her in the site car park discussing and criticising us with another caravan owner. We raised genuine concerns about the accommodation and expected them to be dealt with professionally. Unfortunately, the combination of maintenance problems, poor communication and the way we were treated significantly impacted what should have been a special family holiday. I would not choose to stay here again and would advise future guests to be aware of these issues before booking.

Unfortunately we did not get the assigned cabin number 2 and were assigned cabin 14. This had more steps and stairs of greater depth which was extremely difficult for my wife to negotiate, it was extremely distressful.

Uncomfortable beds. Only there 2 nights so it was fine. Would not want to spend a week there.
