Photos trompeuses, humidité et refus total d’assumer
Les photos extérieures publiées sur Booking.com ne correspondent clairement plus à la réalité : une maison construite devant le logement gâche désormais fortement la vue. Pourtant, aucune photo récente ne permet aux voyageurs de le savoir avant de réserver. À nos yeux, maintenir volontairement ces anciennes images constitue une démarche malhonnête destinée à induire les clients en erreur. Lorsque nous avons signalé ce problème, le propriétaire s’est contenté de dire à booking qu’il n’était « pas d’accord ». Comment peut-on ne pas être d’accord avec une différence aussi évidente entre les photos et la réalité ? Il a ensuite refusé toute compensation.
La situation à l’intérieur était encore plus préoccupante : traces de moisissure au plafond et salpêtre qui se détachait pour tomber au sol, alors que nos enfants sont un bébé en bas âge étaient présents. On nous a répondu qu’il s’agissait d’un ancien dégât des eaux encore en cours de séchage. Cela revient donc à reconnaître que le logement a été loué alors que le problème n’était toujours pas résolu. Aucune solution sérieuse ni communication satisfaisante ne nous a été proposée.
Nous avons souhaité quitter les lieux immédiatement, mais il était presque impossible de trouver un autre hébergement en pleine haute saison. Nous avons finalement réussi à partir une nuit avant la date prévue, tant nous ne souhaitions pas rester davantage.
L’annonce omet également plusieurs informations importantes : la piscine fait moins d’un mètre de profondeur, la troisième chambre est humide et dégage une forte odeur de renfermé, et nous avons retrouvé des poils de chat — un point potentiellement problématique pour les personnes allergiques ce qui est mon cas.
