The host is a scammer and makes false accusations about things that never happened.

I really liked the apartment I booked through Booking. It was spacious, cozy, and well-equipped — everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The location was especially convenient, with easy access to everything. I also appreciated the smooth self check-in process — quick and hassle-free.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience renting this apartment via Booking. After I checked out, the host began falsely accusing me of smoking inside the apartment, which is completely untrue. He sent a photo showing what he claimed to be ash on the inside window sill, but there was no ash visible on the window frame or the outer ledge — which would certainly have been the case if someone had smoked there. My guests and I always went outside to smoke. The apartment is on the second floor, so it was easy and convenient to step out. Even during two days of rain in Riga, we still went outside to smoke. I even suggested that the host check the hallway camera footage to confirm how frequently I went out for that purpose. The only thing I left behind was an empty cigarette pack with some cigarette butts on the kitchen counter, as there was no trash bin near the entrance. The host ignored all my explanations and proceeded to accuse me of smoking indoors and demanded a penalty. He never responded to any of my logical arguments or offers to provide proof. This feels like a deliberate scam attempt to charge extra fees after check-out. I consider the host's behavior dishonest and offensive. ⚠️ I strongly recommend using a virtual card when booking this apartment to prevent unauthorized charges. Also, make sure to take photos and videos of the apartment before leaving to protect yourself from false accusations. This kind of behavior is unacceptable. Booking should seriously investigate hosts like this who undermine trust in the platform. You will also hear neighbors talking through the walls — the sound insulation is very poor. Be prepared that you might not be able to get a good night's sleep. Due to the situation and the accusations, the host also refused to provide an invoice for the stay, which made it impossible for me to claim reimbursement for my business trip. On top of that, the host blocked my phone number.

Sijainti on loistava. Kaikki vanhan kaupungin nähtävyydet lähellä. Parkkihalleja lähellä, jos tulet omalla autolla, hinnoissa eroja, itse käytimme ostoskeskus Origon parkkihallia 15e/24h. Juna-asemalle myös lyhyt kävelymatka, kävimme junalla Jurmalassa päiväretkellä. Hinta on edullinen, olimme 3 yötä ja ehdimme käydä ostoskeskuksissa sekä kiertää nähtävyyksiä.

Harmittavasti paikka on erittäin meluisa iltaisin ja yöllä aamuun asti. Jos et itse bailaa yömyöhään, et saa nukuttua. Alapuolella oleva disko jumputtaa musiikkia klo.5 asti joka yö.
