The property is in a great location near lots of days out. It is well kept with lots of nice touches and spacious for our family of 4. I'd recommend it for a stay once the outside of the property is sorted.
There are minor issues with the water pressure / heat in the showers and the internet was very temperamental. These didnt bother us hugely. However the outside of the property is not in a good situation currently. It is a building site with lots of rubble and rubbish around. It is not just a small amount; it is all around the property and makes the outside both unsightly and unsafe. We were warned about some building works but this message only came through the day before our stay, which meant we weren't able to find any alternative accommodation.

Had to stay here on short notice after our flight was cancelled, but it was easy to get to the property from Heathrow and get an Uber back to the airport in the morning. There was 4 of us and there was plenty of space for us all to stay and we didn't even have to fight for the bathroom in the morning, as there were 2 of them! Check in and out was simple, as we just removed and returned the keys to the lockbox, giving us the freedom to check out as early as we needed to in order to return to the airport. The location is very quiet, so we got a great sleep before returning to the chaos at the airport.
At the time we were staying, there was significant building works going on at the main residence, as a result, the path to get to the lodge wasn't easy and meant it was a little challenging with our heavy suitcases. I imagine the renovations have progressed by now and these issues are probably resolved, however, I would recommend contacting the hosts prior to booking should you be concerned. Better to check than be surprised.

We stayed here for a trip to Thorpe Park and it was perfect. The location was spot on. Easy to find very cosy, had everything you could ask for inside. Lots of little touches that make all the difference.
It would’ve been nice to be warned about the actual land it was on as that the main house was being renovated. Also the electric shower wasn’t great. Other than that, it was absolutely perfect.
