Fantastic Hotel with an amazing view of Onomichi, a great public bath and super friendly staff. The bar was also really nice and it was really calm.
Not really a problem with the hotel itself, but directions from Onomichi Station by foot require you to climb the mountain via a narrow and sloping path with a lot of stairs. It looks doable, but with heavy luggage, it is extremely taxing.
I think the Hotel has a shuttle service, contact them prior to make sure you avoid this issue
