About this cottage rental
Detached house with private on-site parking. From the outside, four steps lead up to the house, which is all on one level. This accommodation offers a fully equipped, separate kitchen. The living/dining room opens onto a suspended terrace overlooking the garden and the Dordogne River. There are three bedrooms, each with a double bed (140x190cm). A shower room and a separate toilet are also provided. The garden is located at the rear of the house. There you will find garden furniture in the shade under a tree, as well as a barbecue. A bonus: at the back of the garden, a small gate provides direct access to the greenway along the river. In the basement, you will find a ping-pong table and a washing machine. House on the banks of the Dordogne River, in the quiet little village of Mauzac-et-Grand-Castang, behind the church steeple, ideally located in the heart of the Périgord region for exploring the tourist attractions of the Dordogne and Vézère valleys (castles, fortified towns, caves, museums, vineyards, prehistoric sites, etc.). Enjoy water sports on the Dordogne: fishing, windsurfing, swimming, canoeing, and barge trips. Discover the local Périgord cuisine. The market in Lalinde (5 km) is very pleasant and takes place every Thursday.
You can also take advantage of the "VELOROUTE V91" greenway, which runs from Prigonrieux to Mauzac for approximately 40 km. And, for the more athletic, take advantage of the ferry in Mauzac, which allows you to cross the Dordogne and continue your journey. For hiking enthusiasts, the GR 6 long-distance footpath passes right by the cottage courtyard, coming from Lalinde via Trémolat.
