A perfect budget spot in the middle of an expensive tourist mecca

The location was perfect, right in the center of Quepos, just one block from the bus station, grocery stores, restaurants, and everything else. The bus to Manuel Antonio Park and the beaches was five minutes away and super easy to take--and cheap, just 390 colones (less than $1). The bus to and from San Jose (including the airport) was also easy and relatively cheap. The apartment felt like our home for three days, and the blasting cold of the air conditioning was not only heavenly, but life saving in that steamy town. We cooked our own dinners there, took powerful showers, and listened to the passing rainstorms pelt the metal roof as we relaxed and watched the TV with Netflix and Youtube. A small balcony out back has a sink and drying lines to keep clothes fresh after the beach. The owner, Pablo, was super accommodating, friendly, and responsive. A wonderful experience altogether.

Very little to complain about here. We would have preferred a larger bed and more shelving--plenty of space for it in the spacious apartment--but the double bed was adequate.

We had a very nice time in quepos. The apartment was super clean with little details like fridge and kettle. It is only a few Minutes away from the bus Station in quepos - a great starting point to explore manuel antonio national park. We would definetely come again!

Fantastic, central studio apartment

Wonderful, 1 bedroom, studio apartment just a few minutes walk from bus station, supermarkets, sea etc. Wonderful owners who had it ready for us before the due check-in time (thank you). Very clean. Quiet. Locked front gate access, key provided, and key access to own room. Excellent wifi/internet/network and TV with Netflix. Small kichen (2 ring electric hob, small fridge/freezer, coffee maker, microwave, pots, pans, crockery and cutlery). Table and chairs to eat from. Large sofa (not that comfortable, unfortunately) and armchair to relax in. Air-conditioning and ceiling fan. Large, comfortable double bed with bedside table and lamp. Plenty of hooks and storage. Good lighting throughout. Hand washing sink on secure back balcony with drying lines. Smallish bathroom, hot water shower.

Cash only (but both US$ and Colones accepted) No visible signs of recycling. Would be nice to have bedside table on both sides. Bathroom mirror needs to over sink. TV sound not very good. Would be nice to add electric kettle, toaster and juicer to kitchen. (Very trivial things, overall an excellent apartment, the photos do not do it justice, it's more spacious than it appears!).

Un posto molto consigliato ci siamo trovati benissimo.

8 / 10Excellent·Sep 2026

Excelente ubicacion, precio increible y limpio y comodo.

El coffee maker no servia, y la luz que ilumina la cocina tampoco prendia.
