About this house rental
A family-friendly, charming, and cozy vacation home, located right next to the forest yet close to town, accommodating 1 to 5 people with 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, and a loft, as well as a fully equipped kitchen; free Wi-Fi; and free use of the washer and dryer.
Quiet and idyllic location with beautiful views of the picturesque hilly countryside.
The abundance of wood in the beams, paneling, and floors creates a warm and cozy atmosphere.
The country house (built in 1862), which adjoins the landlords’ residence, was completely renovated and refurnished from top to bottom in the summer/fall of 2016. It features approximately 120 square meters of living space, a private entrance, and its own access to the street, as well as a (partially covered) terrace with seating and a stone and wooden bench overlooking the garden.
The living space extends over two residential floors and a loft above the upper floor.
Bus service to Marburg’s Old Town runs past midnight.

“Landhaus am Hirtzborn” vacation home:
On the lower floor: living/work room + separate bedroom with a double box-spring bed (180 x 200 cm), closet, and recliner; large bathroom with toilet, vanity with drawers, hair dryer, mirror cabinet, shelf, and combined bathtub/shower corner with glass partition; small utility room with washing machine, dryer, vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board, and cleaning supplies.
On the upper floor: entryway; dining area: dining table, display cabinet, sideboard, wall-mounted cabinet, and internet radio. Fitted kitchen with refrigerator (with freezer compartment), stove and oven, range hood, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, blender, and dishwasher. Ample supply of dishes and kitchen utensils, as well as tea, coffee, and espresso makers.
Small living/bedroom with a double bed (1.55 x 2.00 meters); small bathroom with toilet, sink, hair dryer, and combined tub/shower corner with a glass partition.
Loft with TV area, smart TV, and DVD player, single bed (90 x 200 cm), and an ottoman that converts into a bed
On-site fees: A 20% deposit will be charged upon booking. The remaining balance is due two weeks before arrival. Payment must be made via advance bank transfer. Cancellations made up to 14 days before arrival are free of charge. Cancellations made later than this will be charged at 90% of the total price. Check-in: 2:30 p.m.–10:00 p.m. Earlier check-in may be possible upon request. Check-out: 08:00-10:00. As a rule, guests are greeted in person, given the keys, and shown around by the host. Otherwise, access is via a key safe with a numeric code. Starting on 01.01.2026, a visitor’s tax of 2 € per person per night (for guests 18 and older) will be charged on-site. Pets: Not allowed. Extra bed: Free of charge upon request. Included services: Towels, bed linens, parking, Wi-Fi, final cleaning
