About this apartment rental
We are renting out a vacation apartment in our house that is approximately 90 square meters in size. The apartment is designed to accommodate 4 people and features the following separate rooms:
- Bedroom 1: Large double bed with a closet
- Bedroom 2: Large double bed with a closet
- Living room: Couch (1 two-seater + 1 three-seater), TV, Alexa, dining table for 4 people (high chair available upon request)
- Bathroom 1: Shower, toilet, sink.
- Bathroom 2: Toilet, sink.
- Kitchen: Fully equipped kitchen including stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, and a dining table that seats four.
- Hallway: Dresser and coat rack for storing shoes, jackets, and similar items.
- Terrace: Very spacious terrace with seating.
The vacation rental is in a very quiet and idyllic location and offers plenty of space for a family.
In 5 minutes, you can reach the bus (Herrmannstraße stop, Line 5), which will take you to downtown in another 5 minutes. A bakery and other grocery stores are within walking distance (10–15 minutes on foot).
Attractions such as the beautiful Marburg Castle are also within a 25-minute walk.
When it comes to leisure activities, the vacation rental also offers the perfect starting point for many excursions, such as:
Free - Indoor pool, mini-golf, climbing wall, museum, theater, movie theater.
On-site costs: The total amount must be paid in advance by bank transfer or in cash on site. Cancellations made up to 14 days before arrival are free of charge. Later cancellations will be charged at 50% of the total price. Since the 01.01.2026 the city of Marburg has been collecting a so-called tourism fee (also known as a visitor’s tax). The fee is €2.00 per person per night. All guests aged 18 and older who are not residents of Marburg are required to pay this fee—regardless of whether the stay is for personal or business purposes. The fee is collected by the property owner, listed separately on the invoice, and subsequently remitted to the City of Marburg. Exceptions: The following, among others, are exempt from the fee: • People staying with friends or family free of charge, • Patients (e.g., during hospital stays) and, where applicable, accompanying persons, • Schoolchildren, students, and apprentices staying for educational purposes. The tourism fee is used to promote and further develop tourism offerings in Marburg (e.g., infrastructure, events, and services). Check-in from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Check-out by 10:00 AM. Other check-in and check-out times are possible upon request. Keys are handed over in person on site. Pets are not allowed. A baby crib is available free of charge upon request.
