About this house rental
Our cozy vacation home, "3 Eulen," is located in the heart of the popular hiking and skiing area of the Altenberg region in the Eastern Ore Mountains, in the village of Lauenstein. Here, you can go hiking—or even ski touring—right from your front door.
Just 200 meters away is Lauenstein Castle, where daily falconry shows (closed on Mondays) take place, and the Eastern Ore Mountains Museum invites you to explore. You can also have lunch at the Falknerstüb’l or enjoy delicious homemade cakes and ice cream.
A public swimming pool is about 150 m away, and a toboggan run is 200 m away. Train station: 600 m; Dresden Airport: 63 km. The nearest ski lift is in Geising, 5.3 km away; Altenberg, with a ski lift or summer toboggan run, a mining museum, and a bobsled track, is 8.1 km away.
Interesting destinations include Königstein Fortress and the Elbe Sandstone Mountains (35 km away), Dresden with its many art treasures (42 km away), and the Glashütte watch factory (12 km away). We also recommend a trip to Prague, the Czech capital, 125 km away.
Apartment, bathroom, toilet:
The “3 Eulen” vacation home is a three-story building, lovingly renovated from an old house dating back to 1841 into a cozy home with character. It’s ideal for families (4 adults + 4 children) or a total of 8 people. There are 3 bedrooms in all: 2 double bedrooms and 1 room with 4 single beds. The common room is perfect for a cozy evening of TV or games. (There is also a TV in every bedroom.) The infrared sauna helps relax both body and mind. Those who enjoy cooking can do so in the fully equipped kitchen. In the summer, you can spend lovely evenings barbecuing on the terrace and enjoy the tranquility of country life. Wi-Fi is available free of charge. Bicycles and skis can be stored in a separate room.

On-site fees: A 100% prepayment will be charged upon booking. Check-in is available from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Check-out must be completed by 11:30 AM. Other check-in and check-out times are possible upon request. Keys will be handed over in person on-site or at the “Falknerstüb’l” castle café (approx. 200 m away). Small dogs are permitted upon request for a fee of €10.00 per night per dog. A travel crib can be provided upon request (free of charge). The visitor’s tax of €2.10 per person (ages 17 and up) per night will be charged separately on-site. Children ages 6–16 pay €1.60 per night. For families, a maximum of 3 people pay the tourist tax—the tax is waived for the 4th person and beyond.
