A completely unacceptable stay from start to finish — dirty, poorly maintained, badly managed, and made worse by the lac
Absolutely unacceptable — do not stay here
This was one of the most disappointing properties I have ever stayed in. The condition of the house was simply not acceptable for a paying guest.
The property was dirty on arrival, with dirty plates, dirty cutlery and dirty bedding. There was a foul smell coming from the kitchen which was so bad that we had to go out and buy Febreze ourselves just to make the place bearable. The oven was broken, there was no access to Wi-Fi, and the heating could not be turned off properly.
There was also a serious security concern with the key lockbox. The lockbox appeared to be faulty, as it would open regardless of what code was entered. This meant that effectively anyone could open the box and access the property keys, which left us feeling extremely uncomfortable and insecure during our stay.
The house was also cluttered with the owner’s personal belongings, which made the whole property feel more like someone’s neglected home than a properly prepared holiday rental.
What made things even worse was the complete lack of communication. When we tried to contact the owner/staff about the problems, they were unresponsive and provided no help. After experiencing all of these issues, I contacted them to request some form of refund or compensation, but this was simply refused despite the number of problems we had experienced.
There was also an extremely concerning issue with the security deposit. We were charged the additional security deposit three separate times, on occasions weeks apart. Having to chase this up on top of everything else was completely unacceptable.
For the price we paid, I expected a clean, functional, secure and properly managed property. Instead, we were left dealing with basic cleanliness issues, broken facilities, unpleasant smells, no Wi-Fi, heating problems, a faulty key lockbox and an owner/management team who were unwilling to properly address our complaints.

- buitengesloten door de eigenaar. Waardoor we over het hek diende te klimmen.
