The stay was overall a nightmare and impacted our health.
The location and views were great.
⚠️ BED BUGS — EMERGENCY CHECKOUT ON DOCTOR'S ORDERS ⚠️
We stayed at this villa as a group (including 2 pregnant women and a 2-year-old child). Within the first few days, almost everyone in the group — across two different bedrooms — developed numerous clustered, line-pattern bites on their legs and feet, consistent with bed bugs (photos available). Given the severity, we consulted a doctor who explicitly advised us to leave the property immediately. We were forced to check out early, before the end of our booked stay. We also had to pay out of pocket to decontaminate all our clothing, luggage, and our car, with zero contribution from the host.
On top of this, we encountered several other issues from day one:
- The pool shown in the listing photos does not match the actual pool at the property at all.
- The listing advertises air conditioning: in reality, there are only small portable AC units in the bedrooms, barely effective, and no air conditioning anywhere else in the villa — a real problem during a heatwave.
- The pool and fridge were dirty on arrival.
- The advertised baby high chair was not provided.
- Wifi was extremely slow, close to unusable.
Despite our requests, the host offered no compensation for all the night, either for the costs incurred. We cannot recommend this property and strongly encourage future travelers to be cautious, especially given the health issue we experienced.
