Poorly managed

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst rental experiences I have had.
From check-in, the apartment had multiple issues. The mattress was damaged and had an unpleasant smell, and within the first hour of my stay, water began leaking from the apartment above. There was already a visible water-damage stain on the ceiling, which suggested that this was not a new problem.
Maintenance attended several times during my two-week stay, but the leak was never properly resolved. I asked either to be moved to another apartment or to receive a refund, but both requests were refused.
The mattress was eventually replaced, but the old mattress was then left outside my apartment door for an extended period. I repeatedly asked management to remove it, while building security was warning me that I could potentially be fined because it was obstructing the hallway. Despite this, my calls and messages were repeatedly ignored.
Following the leakage, I also encountered cockroaches in the apartment and reported a concerning clicking/crackling electrical sound near the bed.
The final issue, and probably the most frustrating, was the way my extension was handled.
I needed to extend my stay and wanted to avoid suddenly having to move and search for another apartment. I found several apartments from the same company advertised on Bayut at significantly lower prices than what I was being quoted directly.
I contacted Miriam from the company and showed her the options I had found. She sent me another apartment herself at a very reasonable price, and I immediately told her I was happy to take it.
She then told me not to proceed yet because she would check whether she could arrange a lower price for my existing apartment so that I would not have to move.
After that, she repeatedly stopped answering our calls and messages. This continued until literally the final day of my stay, leaving me with almost no time to make alternative arrangements.
