The beautiful landscape, the Main River and the vineyards, romantic wine-growing villages, art and culture, as well as significant historical monuments are all waiting to be discovered: Welcome to “Bavarian Tuscany.” Numerous wineries (tasting rooms/wine testings) offer their wines, and four Franconian inns will treat you to typical Franconian dishes. You’ll find plenty of shopping options, supermarkets, a hospital, doctors, pharmacies, small shops, and cafés, as well as restaurants and wine shops in nearby Volkach. You can reach Volkach by bike in about 15 minutes. Regular ferry service across the Main River: You can reach Würzburg by car in 20 minutes. Seasonally, the Mainschleifenbahn runs from Volkach to Seligenstadt: ride through the vineyards in a historic panoramic car. Connection to Würzburg Central Station.
