I wish the host cared about his visitors.
It could be a nice property if more care and attention could be given to it. Please see my points below.
Unfortunately, we experienced two serious issues during our stay:
Swimming pool: When we arrived, the pool water was very cloudy and green and was not suitable for use. It took the agent nine days to have the pool properly cleaned. We were also told that the owner was already aware there was a problem with the pool before our arrival. This was particularly disappointing, as having a swimming pool was one of the main reasons we chose and paid for this property.
Rats inside the property: We also had a serious problem with rats in the house, with several rats seen running around inside the property. Despite contacting the agent, it took three full days for a technician to attend and put down traps. I spent a significant part of our family holiday repeatedly trying to contact the agent and get the problem dealt with, and unfortunately the response was much slower than we would have expected given the seriousness of the issue.
Because of these problems, particularly the length of time we were unable to use the pool and the presence of rats inside the house, our holiday was significantly affected. I have requested compensation but have not received a response from the agent.
The property itself has great potential, which makes our experience even more disappointing. I hope the owner and agent take these issues seriously, improve the management of the property and respond appropriately to our request for compensation.
