At the foot of this lovely, unspoiled swimming spot, let yourself be captivated by “THE MÉZELS EFFECT.” Symptoms after a few days: - slower breathing rate - deeper sleep - an irresistible urge to go for a walk and take a swim. For more severe cases: complete inactivity, with your gaze fixed for 45 minutes on the flowing Dordogne River. Welcome! You’ll be staying in a calm and relaxing setting where you can gaze at the river’s currents from the kitchen or living room window. In the garden, you can relax under the linden tree and catch a glimpse of a few adventurers in their canoes. Nearby, you, too, can enjoy the river—hop into your own canoe and set out to explore the Dordogne from the water sports center just 10 minutes from the cottage. To cool off, take a dip, or go for a swim, simply step through the gate and head to the beach in complete peace and quiet! For those who prefer dry land, there are plenty of hiking trails in the surrounding area, not to mention the region’s gems: Rocamadour, Martel, the Gouffre de Padirac, the Lascaux Caves, and many others... Two-story vacation rental: Access via a few steps. Kitchen (traditional stove). Use of the wood-burning stove is prohibited; dining area; small sitting area with armchairs and a sofa bed. One bedroom with a 140x190 bed; bathroom with toilet. Upstairs, an attic bedroom with one 160x200 bed and two 90x190 beds. Bathroom with toilet. Basement with washing machine and dryer. Unfenced property (access to the Dordogne secured by a locked gate). Shaded patio area with a picnic table and lounge chairs. Electricity and housekeeping included. The cottage is not accessible to people with limited mobility.
