Genuinely couldn't wait to leave this property.

It's got everything you need and (apart from a persistent bathroom drain smell) very clean. After we waited at least an hour in the rain for the agent to be able to get inside the property, they did install a lock box during our stay.

I'm very familiar with the city, and I felt completely unsafe in this property. When we mentioned this to the host, they told us to call the police if we felt uncomfortable (the police had been called, we could hear the radio chatter through the walls). When asked if we could be issued (at least) a partial refund, they told us, as it would be a 'voluntary early check out' they wouldn't issue a refund. That was it - they had no sense of responsibility for the comfort of their guests and offered no further support after that. On the outside, the area itself looks amazing. This unit isn't in the building with the columns, but the one behind it. It's probably the most neglected communities I've ever stayed in (see pictures of the turf that's been completely ripped away and left to flap in the wind for, at least, over a month). What they don't mention is that it's supported housing (take from that what you will) and we saw multiple police cars and officers at least once a day. There was shouting and fighting throughout the night, a persistent smell of cigarettes and weed meaning the windows could never be opened. The communal bins were completely overflowing a day after they were emptied and the trash left to fly around the courtyard. The downstairs neighbours played loud bass music almost every evening that genuinely shook the walls and the upstairs neighbour was loudly pacing in circles right above the bedroom 24/7. Not usually one for scathing reviews like this, but I have nothing good to say about this experience. Even when we tried to check out, they hadn't told us the lockbox code so we had to leave and return the next day when they'd finally got around to messaging us it.
