1. Exceptionally helpful and communicative host, answered all my messages immediately and in detail
2. Amazingly atmospheric accommodation: a historical tower with modern interior decor, 360 degree panoramic view of Albi, especially including the full view of the Cathedral!
3. The best location in the city, and very safe. Easy to find, walkable from the train station
4. Very pleasant place (the bed was comfortable. There was a large shower cabin. The mini fridge was very useful. I did not use the kitchenette with microwave, coffeemaker and dishes, but it would be helpful for guests who want to prepare some of their own food. Likewise I did not use the large-screen TV, but it was there)
5. I am so fortunate to have found this great accommodation in Albi! I would highly recommend it!
I liked everything! Nothing negative for me personally.
People with reduced mobility would have difficulty negotiating stairs (the apartment is at at the top of a long circular stairwell in a tower. It is on two levels, ie, the bathroom is below the main room, connected with wooden stairs that look like a modernist sculpture. I am old but very active, so I enjoyed climbing up & down the sculpture, but it is not for everyone).
Note that the accommodation does not have wi-fi. Not a real problem for me, since free public wi-fi is available at the city library (Mediatheque) on Av General de Gaulle - you will pass it on the way from the train station (the wi-fi signal is present in front of the library even when the library is closed).
The water in the bathroom sometimes had a bit of a "medieval" smell which did not bother me (it added to the atmosphere!), but consider it if you are sensitive to any smells.

La vue spectaculaire 360 degrés jour et nuit sur la ville. Espace petit mais tout confort: petite cuisine avec tout ce qu’il faut pour notre séjour, machine à café, douche géniale, lit confortable, lieu très tranquille. On a particulièrement apprécié notre host très flexible et serviable.
L’escalier entre les deux étages a une rampe quelque peu instable. L’évier est un peu petit.

Right in the city center, neighboring the Albi covered market, and a few minutes from the cathedral/Museum Toulouse-Lautrec.

Very last minute booking but fast response by the sympathetic owner
Kitchenette is very unpractical, see pictures, better forget about it. Mandatory to do the dishes/vaiselle. If not, you risk a fine according to an information note.
No AC, fan only
Note - HEAT WARNING: Extremely hot during one of the heatwaves summer '26, the tower is in the plain sun all day! Luckily you can open all 6 or 8 windows on all sides of the top floor of the tower = bedroom and with a breeze ...
Bathroom, one floor below, remained extremely hot though as every single thing (brick, tile, ...) remained hot, no airing.
Steep, narrow staircase between top floor-bedroom and lower floor-bathroom, see also pictures.
Note - wide staircase from the entrance at ground level to the bathroom level, no elevator (in case of mobility issues)

Absolument superbe, appartement sur deux niveaux au dernière étage d’une tour, tout confort et fonctionnel, propre, moderne, très bien situé en plein centre ville. Vue sublime. Jolie salle de bain. Marché à quelques mètres et vue sur cathédrale depuis la chambre.
Extrêmement chaud en été, manque un ventilateur. Reste la possibilité de faire des courants d’air. Attention aux escaliers raides !
