On site parking and twin beds were important filters for me and Greenacres fit that criteria. The property/view is gorgeous and the building is visibly being maintained at a high level. There is a glassed common area room that is very attractive. Everyting about our room in good order. WiFi fine. Hot water and heat fine. The keying arrangement is brilliant IMO. There is a decent restaurant at the Welcome Center within walking distance with a sidewalk. Downtown is a half mile away.
I want to emphasize that this is a legitimate lodging. My initial communications after booking on this platform made me wary of a scam but it is not. I booked all my accommodations for my trip to Scotland on Booking and communication from this property was unique from all the others. I was in the window to cancel when I got a registration form to fill out that heightened my skepticism. I looked into booking a different place but at that point couldn't find anything without sacrificing being in Portree. The host backed off the form requirement with a very nice email which allayed my concerns a bit. This lodging works like Air B&B, not like an inn or hotel. The management is transparent that there is no staff on site.

The room and ensuite were both spacious and clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable. Our room had water views which was lovely and our friends had garden views. They spotted some local deer grazing in the front garden.
There is a lounge area and dining room which was handy for our group (2 x couples) to share a wine together at the end of the day. We also used the dining room to eat our breakfast (local yoghurt, granola and fruit purchase at the local shop - best Greek yoghurt ever.
A small bar fridge in the room would have been handy, but we did find that not many rooms in the UK have bar fridges.
Everything else was fine.

It had a beautiful view of the water.
I could not put meds that needed refrigerating in the refrig we were supposed to be able to use because it was broken. The sitting area is freezing, the property is overgrown, The one person who seemed to be connected to the place walked into the staff kitchen and never acknowledged us. This place looks fantastic in the guide books but the information must be old .

The view
No on-site personnel- limited service. Public spaces not that clean. Outer spaces need refurbishing. Small rooms.
