Holiday Inn Express Munich Airport - Erding by IHG

The property is fine. But, we were misled that it was an "airport hotel". We were a couple of hours away on our day of arrival when we discovered it was a 20-25 minute journey from the airport and did not offer shuttle service to the airport. We were to turn in our car at 5:00 pm. resulting in a rush to the hotel to check in, drop off luggage and rush back to the airport. Then, find a bus (the desk person at the hotel had given us route number), get money as credit card did not work on bus, and ride back and walk a little ways to the hotel. We also Hired a taxi for next morning ($40 plus tip). Our A/C was not working property but the staff did change our room and we moved. The BIG THING was this NON AIRPORT LOCATION wase not disclosed properly during our booking. Our Son, who had left about 10 days earlier, stayed with his family at a hotel at the airport for a reasonable price and had a wonderful experience there. We will use AI to find more of our hotels in the future. At least this subject hotel provided ALL guests with a wonderful breakfast as we were not provided breakfast at a couple of early hotels on this journey since we booked thru Expedia.

Close to airport

This is a fairly new hotel. I love IHG because I always know what to expect when I stay there. The room was new, clean and comfortable. The staff were excellent. They helped us get our passports downloaded for checking in with our airlines. We came by bus and it was a 3 block walk which wasn't bad at all. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great! We would stay again!

I am a solo traveler and I only stayed one night on a layover but the hotel was clean and comfortable with a nice breakfast in the morning. I would absolutely stay here again.
