I'm an easy-going guest who wanted a good stay, but this property needs improvements.
The Few Positives:
-The proximity to my event was convenient, which was the main reason I booked the property.
-Once we were checked in and got past the issues with the door code, the garage fob was available on the desk for easy access in and out.
- If cleanliness had not been an issue, the in-unit washer and dryer, the bathroom design, and the bedroom style would have been a great feature. Unfortunately, the poor management and cleaning completely ruined the experience.
1. Check-in Was a Frustrating Experience
The property required a $1,000 deposit, but instead of using Booking.com’s secure payment system, they sent a last-minute external payment link to a third-party website. Since this was not disclosed in advance, I had no time to verify it. I was denied check-in for the first night. I am still awaiting for them to address the refund after being prohibited to enter until the payment was received through the last minute link.
2. Poor Management & Lack of Communication
The phone number listed was useless—I left voicemails but no one ever called back. Even Booking.com couldn’t reach them from the customer service line. In the Booking.com chat, there were too many different property respondents which led them to be confused about any requests I made with no follow up action.
3. The apartment was unclean
Trash from a previous guest was left outside and never removed. Counters were sticky and dust covered the ceiling fans.
The bathroom was not properly cleaned—soap scum, body hair in the shower, and a brown line in the toilet. Floors were covered in pet hair and dander. Bed sheets had human and pet hair. I requested clean sheets but no one came. I have photos and videos to back up everything I’ve said.
4. Missing Basic Amenities
No soap—an empty bottle was left in the kitchen and the bathroom soap container was filled with water.
Only half a roll of toilet paper was provided. I had to buy my own disinfectant, soap, and toilet paper.
5. They Expected Me to Do Maintenance
They asked me to buy batteries for their front door lock. Meanwhile, they failed to address actual guest concerns.
6. $150 Cleaning Fee for a Dirty Unit
If they charge for cleaning, they should actually clean. Instead, I had to disinfect the space myself.
7. Loud Stomping From Upstairs Neighbors
Not my biggest issue so I left this out of my concerns but if you’re a light sleeper, be aware of the noise.
