Beautiful location, hotel looks great. The room layout was good, enough power points. Convenience of buffet breakfast. Within walking distance from shop and other amenities.
The overall service experience was inconsistent. While two or three staff members were friendly and helpful, most staff in the dining area appeared disengaged and were not particularly welcoming when approached with questions.
The room also had several maintenance and comfort issues. The extractor fan in the bathroom was not functioning, and we were advised that no repairs could be scheduled as the availability of contractors was unknown. Given that the room had neither a window nor a working extractor fan, ventilation was inadequate. The bathroom became heavily steamed during use, requiring us to leave the door open to allow the moisture to escape.
The kettle provided in the room appeared to be of a lower standard than one would expect from a hotel of this calibre and took an unusually long time to boil water.
In addition, there were issues with the arrival and departure process. At the main gate, we were asked to produce documentation that should have been provided by the hotel. As these documents had not been issued to us, we experienced delays and were unnecessarily questioned on both occasions.
