Welcome to our vacation home in Ilsenburg in the Harz Mountains, right next to the national park. The Nexö vacation home is located directly on the Ilse River and near the Ilsestein, in one of the most beautiful valleys of the Harz Mountains—the Ilse Valley. The wild and romantic landscape of the Harz National Park begins right at the doorstep. The vacation home features an open-concept living area with a solid-wood kitchen, a large dining table, and a sofa with a flat-screen TV.
From the living area, you can step out onto the terrace, which offers views of the Harz countryside. Three bedrooms can accommodate up to 6 people. The apartment has two bathrooms with a shower and toilet. A wide variety of recreational activities are within walking distance of the vacation homes: a water playground, a Kneipp facility, a tree-top adventure course, a disc golf course, and the Ilsenburg National Park Visitor Center. You can start the most popular hiking trails right from the vacation homes. Arguably the most beautiful hike up the Brocken, the “Heinrich-Heine-Weg,” follows the course of the Ilse River and runs right past our cottages.
The historic town of Wernigerode, with its town hall and castle, is just a few minutes’ drive away. Bad Harzburg, with its treetop trail and saltwater spa; Thale, with the Hexentanzplatz and Roßtrappe; and many other excursion options invite you to explore the surrounding area.
