Spacious place to stay.

A clean and spacious apartment within easy walking distance from beach. Responsive hosts available via messaging for any queries.

When we visited in October 26 there was building going on directly opposite. This wasn't constantly noisy but did disturb us in the morning.

Two sleepless nights, unresolved mechanical noise — and an agreed refund subsequently refused Unfortunately, this was one of the worst accommodation experiences we have had. From our first night, there was an extremely loud mechanical noise that occurred repeatedly whenever water was being used in the apartment building — taps, showers, toilets, washing machines, etc. It would start and stop repeatedly and was loud enough to seriously disrupt our sleep. We reported the problem to the property after the first night. To their credit, they responded and sent someone to investigate it. We therefore stayed a second night, believing the problem had been addressed. It hadn’t. We had another night of severely disrupted sleep, with the mechanical noise repeatedly cycling on and off from around 3:30 am. After two nights with very little sleep, we simply weren’t prepared to risk a third. Compounding the problem, the apartment has no air conditioning. In the August heat, sleeping with the windows closed wasn’t a realistic option, so we also had the normal street noise coming through the open windows on top of the persistent mechanical noise from the building. Between the two, getting any meaningful sleep was extremely difficult. We contacted the property again, explained that the problem had not been resolved and told them that we could not stay another night. We booked alternative accommodation at our own expense and requested a refund for our final two unused nights. We were initially advised that those two nights would be refunded. That decision was subsequently reversed and the refund refused. In explaining their refusal, the property actually confirmed in writing both the existence and source of the mechanical noise. They told us that it comes from a backup water system installed on the roof of the building, which activates when there is a water-supply interruption and a guest uses water.

Great place

Clean, modern and just a short walk from the center of Famara and the beach. Also a quiet road.

The only thing we missed was a balcony, but not a big issue as we were at the beach most of the time.

Wonderfull stay and wonderfull Lanzarote

We had a wonderful stay at the Sabbia Apartment – the location is excellent, the place is clean, modern, and well-equipped, and the overall experience was great. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were friendly and responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

However, we did find the listing a bit misleading. The photos make it difficult to understand exactly which apartment type you’re booking, and there was some confusion about which ones come with a terrace and which are on the ground floor. It would be really helpful if the descriptions were clearer, specifying these details upfront to avoid any surprises upon arrival.
