Left Stranded Outside.

Nothing

We booked and arrived at the property, only to find it locked with no one available to let us in. After contacting the host, I was told he was 10 minutes away and would arrive shortly. Instead, he then messaged me on WhatsApp requesting a copy of my ID and a photo of my bank card. In the confusion of standing outside the property in the blazing sun, feeling flustered and uncomfortable, I initially sent a picture of the wrong card. Once I realized, I sent the correct one, with the middle numbers blurred out for security reasons. He then informed me that he could not check us in because, according to him, the account holder name on the card did not match my ID. This made no sense, as the ID and the card details clearly matched. At that point, we were still left standing outside in an uncomfortable environment with some suspicious individuals nearby. Given the circumstances, the host should at the very least have come to let us settle in while the correct documentation was being sorted out. He then proceeded to cancel the booking and sent proof of the reversal. However, the funds have still not reflected back into my account. I am giving it a few days, failing which I will have no choice but to proceed with a chargeback. What was also concerning is that during our call, he asked whether I had booked for only one night, stating that the policy is a minimum of two nights. If that is indeed the policy, the booking should never have been allowed to go through in the first place. Overall, the experience was frustrating, stressful, and highly unprofessional. The reasons given for the cancellation felt inconsistent, and the way the situation was handled left us feeling deeply uncomfortable and unfairly treated.

Great location for Seapoint, good value.

Great location, very short walk to shops and very good bars/restaurants. Very easy access for parking (from rear). Pool area very cosy. Kitchen well equipped and showers really good too. Bed’s comfortable. Good value.

Very noisy road at times. Internet wasn’t very reliable (host super responsive tho)
