Cons:
There was no air conditioning, so the room was hot in the summer.
The curtains didn't block all the light, so the room got bright early in the morning.
There was no elevator, so we had to carry our luggage up to the third floor.
The area around the hotel wasn't very nice.
Pros:
The room was clean.
The kitchen was fully equipped, making it easy to prepare meals.
The self-check-in process was smooth and hassle-free.

We are a family of four (two parents and two boys ages 15 and 13). We stayed two nights at Neulerchenfelder City Apartment in late June 2026. Overall, we thought the location was good and the room seemed to be a good value. We loved how spacious the apartment was (huge with high ceilings!). We had no problems finding the apartment or gaining access (through communication with the owner). We enjoyed the full size refrigerator, washing machine, wifi, and shower, etc. The location was pretty good - not necessarily within easy walking distance to major sights, but still centrally located and well connected by tram. We needed to park our rental car some distance away, but were able to use the street parking near the apartment in limited increments while coming and going. There were several things that could have been better. The weather was extremely hot (during a historic heat wave) and the apartment's lack of air conditioning made for a very warm apartment. There were two small portable fans in the closet, but one of them required assembly and was missing parts but we still made use of it. Using the fans and opening the windows helped making things more comfortable, but it was still too warm. The handle came off the bathroom door. I notified the owner about both the fan's missing parts and the door handle that fell off, so they should be fixed. And it wasn't anyone's fault that the weather was extremely hot - but this apartment is definitely not set up well for hot weather.

We had a wonderful stay! The place was spacious, clean, and in a perfect location: a nice, quiet residential neighourhood that was a quick tram ride away from all the sights of the old town. (The tram stops are right outside, and the trams run about every 5 minutes, so getting around was a breeze.). There were multiple grocery stores within a few minutes’ walk, and various restaurants as well.
We were there in a fairly hot set of days in August, but we found that the place stayed cool, with a lot of breeze flowing through.
The kitchen is very well set up, with a full sized refrigerator+freezer and a full stove+oven, as well as cookware, dishes, cutlery, etc. Even a dishwasher!
Very highly recommended, we loved our time here!
