Spoiled by lack of air conditioning and false refund promises.

We arrived at the property on the 10th of July to find that the air conditioning system was not working. We immediately contacted the representative from Dialez Holidays and after some communication via WhatsApp and in person, on the 13th of July we were advised that the problem with the air conditioning system could not be resolved during our stay. At this point we were advised by the representative from Dialez Holidays that the following options were open to us: 1. Stay in the property for the remainder of the booking period and receive a 50% refund on the cost of the stay. 2. Leave the property and find alternative accommodation, at which point 50% of the days stayed in the villa would be refunded and the full cost of the remaining days would also be refunded. On this basis, and because we could not secure a similar alternative property at such short notice, we decided to stay in the villa. This was a compromise and ultimately our holiday was spoiled by this issue and the interaction with Dialez Holidays. I have screenshots of WhatsApp conversations and a voicemail from the Dialez Holidays representative confirming the compensation offer made. Despite numerous attempts to contact Dialez Holidays, via telephone and email and through Booking.com representatives, all requests for the agreed refund have been ignored. I have contacted Booking.com by phone on multiple occasions and they too have tried to contact Dialez Holidays, but to no avail. I note that a previous occupant of the villa has also left a review (posted 11th July) detailing similar issues with the air conditioning system and being unable to get an agreed refund from Dialez Holidays. Clearly this has been an ongoing issue and the owner of the villa / Dialez Holidays should have advised us in advance of our stay. However, based on my subsequent dealings with Dialez Holidays, the lack of consideration for guests is sadly not surprising.

Could’ve been a dream vacation. Turned out to be a disaster and we’re still waiting for a refund.

We are still waiting on a full refund that the agent who manages the house promised would be processed given the number of issues that we had. The biggest issue was the air-conditioning was not functional during a week week where it was 40°C. The electricity kept tripping the swimming pool that we paid for was completely filled with sand and dirt because the filtration system had not been working for weeks. The house was infested with ants across many areas. None of these situations are acceptable, and the agent in charge had promised initially a partial refund and later promised a full refund on the stay. However, we have not seen any such promise convert into reality and we’ve been chasing the agent since to advise us what needs to happen in order to process the refund. If there is no action taken, we will be pursuing a full charge back against the credit card charge from Booking.com.

Wonderful place to stay.

Gorgeous property with fantastic views. Very comfortable accommodations. Each of the 4 bedrooms has its own a/c thermostat and you can’t hear noise from the other areas. Large kitchen with a huge refrigerator and an island to prepare meals. Big glass doors all around the main area allow you to see the wonderful landscaping. Good sized washer and dryer.

Nothing. :)
