Our room (family room) was very spacious with comfy beds, a good shower and decent breakfast. There was a separate "bedroom" for the adults which was appreciated. Our son loved the pool, and the reception staff were very friendly. There are a lot of excellent food options within a short walk of the hotel for both local and international cuisine.
Our UK issued bank cards would not work at the hotel (although it worked everywhere else in Uzbekistan, and we live abroad so use them most days) so we had to withdraw cash to pay for the room. Due to the maximum som that can be withdrawn in one transaction, we had to do multiple transactions (costing us money each time) to withdraw around £200. The hotel staff were apologetic but also said that it has been a frequent issue with UK issued cards. This is an issue with the hotel's bank, and should be sorted out by the hotel.
There were also no towels for the pool each time we visited. We took some from the (empty) massage rooms around the pool, but expected there to be towels readily available at the pool.
