Location was fantastic, especially for a morning visit to the shrines without a lot of people. A very special experience. Host was excellent and picked us up at the train station, ran us by a supermarket and kindly answered half an hour of questions we had, then booked us at fabulous restaurants. Thanks very much Ian - we had a memorable stay :)

Ich bin froh dieses Juwel gefunden zu haben, wir wollten 3 Nächte in nikko verbringen und ich bin aus Zufall auf dieses Haus gestoßen. Wir sind nur zu zweit und hatten reichlich Platz, es gibt 3 Schlafzimmer und 2 Bäder. Es war schon auch mal Nachmittags einfach ein bisschen entspannt auf der Couch zu sitzen. Die Bettdecken sind schon flauschig und es gibt eine Waschmaschine und Trockner. Die Schreine/tempel sind gleich in der Nähe und vieles ist zu Fuß erreichbar. Der lawson ist ca 10 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt, zum großen Supermarkt sind es 30 Minuten zu Fuß, es fährt aber auch ein Bus.
Danke an Ian fürs abholen und wieder zum Bahnhof bringen, außerdem für die Restaurant Empfehlung, wir waren gleich 2x dort weil es so ausgesprochen gut war!
Wir würden definitiv wieder kommen.
Nikko ist wirklich ein schöner Ort - mit dem nikko pass lohnt es sich auch zum See rauf zu fahren, aber am besten von der Tobu nikko Station, ansonsten kann es sein, dass er bei shinkyo schon zu voll ist und man nicht mehr mit darf.
Einzig die Betten waren für uns etwas zu hart

The house was very large and comfortable. It was clean and had many amenities. The owner was very kind and picked us up and drop us off at the station. The location is also very quiet, yet close to the shrines and temples.
