L'accueil de Eddie et de Lettie a été très chaleureux. Et nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'excellent repas préparé par Lettie et servi par Eddie. Une belle famille. Ce repas est un beau moment de partage et de rencontre de voyageurs. Notre chambre était propre et confortable. Et le ciel étoilé magnifique. Je ne peux que recommander

Das Petrified forest restcamp liegt ca. 20km außerhalb von Khorixas auf dem Weg zu dem Petrified Forest und Twyfelfontaine. Das Restcamp besteht aus ca. 5 Bungalows für jeweils 2 Personen die ca. 20m auseinander liegen mitten in der Wüste. Es war eine tolle Erfahrung dort zu wohnen (sehr schöne Sonnenauf- und -untergänge). Die Gastgeber Eddy und Leddy sind einmalig nett und man kann sehr viel von ihnen erfahren. Diesen Ort würde ich jedem empfehlen.

Man mußte bar bezahlen, der nächste ATM ist in Khorixas, was ca. 20km entfernt ist und wir haben uns in Khorixas nicht wohl (sicher) gefühlt, da dort viele Bettler sind (die es an dem Restcamp wegen der Entfernung nicht gibt).

Die Lage ist unvergleichlich, mitten im nirgendwo, super gelegen, nette Räume und alles super sauber. Eddi ist ein toller Gastgeber der gern über das Land erzählt. Seine Frau ist eine super Köchin.
