This lovingly renovated old farmhouse exudes a unique coziness that creates the perfect setting for a relaxing vacation. Surrounded by a spacious garden with an enchanting pond, a terrace with a barbecue area invites you to enjoy nature. The property offers plenty of space for carefree moments outdoors—whether it’s breakfast in the sunshine, a cozy dinner under the open sky, or a refreshing dip in the natural swimming pond.
Nestled between the Moselle and the Eifel, the “Glücksnest” is the ideal starting point for numerous exploration tours. Visit the historic city of Trier, Germany’s oldest city, with its impressive remnants of its Roman past, such as the Porta Nigra, the Basilica, and the medieval cathedral. Along the Moselle, picturesque wine villages such as Bernkastel-Kues and Traben-Trabach beckon, and neighboring Luxembourg is also worth a visit.
The surrounding area offers a wide range of recreational activities: Hiking on scenic trails through the Eifel, Moselle, or Hunsrück regions; biking for all skill levels; and swimming at the outdoor pool or the natural swimming spots in the Eifel maars.
The small village of Hetzerath features a train station and bus stop, as well as bakeries, a butcher shop, a supermarket, a pub with a beer garden, and an ice cream parlor.

Inside the house, you’ll find a harmonious blend of traditional charm and comfort. The open kitchen offers plenty of space for cooking together, while the cozy living area with a wood-burning stove invites you to relax. The light-filled sunroom, with its spacious dining area and view of the greenery, creates the perfect setting for social gatherings.
Upstairs, you’ll find a bedroom with blackout curtains and a double bed (1.60 m), a small bathroom, and a spacious, open-concept sleeping area (double bed, 2 m) with a loft and a sofa bed (1.40 m), which is perfect for relaxing with a book or as an extra sleeping spot.
On-site costs: Good to know! Our prices include bed linens, towels, and kitchen towels. Keys can be picked up via a key safe. One more note: The natural swimming pond is up to 1.60 m deep, so it’s not suitable for non-swimmers. Use is at your own risk. You can reach us at any time at 0151 116 144 07.
