About this apartment rental
Welcome to Mockethal—a small suburb of Pirna on the Elbe River, nestled in the heart of Saxon Switzerland. From here—in a peaceful, tranquil setting—you can relax and plan your excursions and activities at your leisure. Whether you’d like to walk to Pirna along the Malerweg trail—a roughly 30-minute walk to the ferry—and from there take a steamboat into Saxon Switzerland or toward Dresden, or if you’d rather take the train —the train station is about a 10-minute walk from the ferry—or would you rather explore the area by car—anything is possible. You can also use public transportation—the bus stop is just a 5-minute walk from here. So, as you can see, nothing stands in the way of your plans—whether you’re heading to Dresden, Meissen, Moritzburg, or simply hiking in Saxon Switzerland with its many beautiful, must-see destinations such as the Bastei, Little Saxon Switzerland in Wehlen, or Königstein Fortress, to name just a few.
The grocery store is about 1.2 km away—so it’s a quick trip by car or bike. And if you don’t feel like cooking, you can drive, bike, or walk to the Zum Gießer brewery or the Laterne—a Vietnamese restaurant—to treat yourself to a delicious meal.
Parking is available on the property under a carport.
Vacation rental, 2 bedrooms:
Our vacation rental—which has been completely renovated and furnished—is ideal for 2 adults and 1 to 2 children (max. 5 people) and spans 2 floors. Upstairs, via the staircase, you’ll find the bedroom with a double bed, and another bedroom—which serves as a walk-through room—with a queen-size double bed. A travel crib and a high chair are available upon request. There is additional sleeping space available in the attic. The bathroom is equipped with a shower and toilet. A separate guest restroom is available on the first floor.
Back on the first floor, we enter the fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, oven, dishwasher, and sink, as well as a microwave, egg cooker, electric kettle, coffee maker, and toaster. Of course, pots and dishes are provided so you’ll have everything you need to prepare meals. Next door, in the living and dining area, you can take a seat at a large table with comfortable chairs. To relax, simply sit on the large, comfortable sofa—which can also be converted into a sleeping area—and read, watch TV, or just unwind.
For a quiet, cozy end to the evening, we’re also happy to offer our seating area in the garden.
Check-in is available from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00, and check-out is from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
