Our New Year and birthday vacation started off dramatically when we were caught in an F3 tornado just 28 miles from the beach house, which unfortunately totaled our vehicle. However, once we arrived, the rest of the week was peaceful and enjoyable.
This was our fourth year coming to this house, and as always, it didn’t disappoint. We were excited to see the new additions, like the fire pit and hot tub. While the fire pit wasn’t working, we used the hot tub a couple of times, though it’s not the main reason we come.
The house and location are truly the perfect family getaway. Days at the beach are blissful, and nights are even better with the windows open, letting in the sound of the ocean. The deck is a standout feature—a serene space to meditate and relax.
We also love the local restaurants, which never fail to impress, and the friendly, welcoming locals add to the charm.
We’ll definitely keep coming back. It’s a great location that feels like a home away from home!
