FRAUD BEWARE
Nothing we never got the key
Matthew, the person who supposedly offers this place, does not exist, which constitutes false advertising. The property is managed by a business. This is a total scam, a complete mess. It all started with them requesting we fill out a form to give them a deposit of 100 euro, even though during our registration and in my confirmations emails, no such term was listed. The conclusion of the contract happens when the payment is withdrawn from my account and booking sends the confirmation. Adding subsequent terms that were not part of the ad is categorical fraud. Also, a deposit for a 3 night stay when booking already has my bank account details is unheard of. I am so grateful their website couldn't open on my phone or we would have been scammed with an extra 100 euro.
We were on the phone with some company (Mark b and b by their own account - French with a Spanish number) going back and forth for 3 hours. We were saying we can't get the key because the box where it's at is inside the hallway, and the entrance door is locked. They said there is nothing they could do, ghosted us on the app, and eventually stopped answering. After a while, some "emergency service" (another company by their own account) picked up and said the main office is closed, they cannot do anything and we have to wait until tomorrow to receive a refund. It was already past 19:30 at that point.
Basically, we had nowhere to go. But the best part was that they waited for us to make the request for annulment without charge (since no service could be provided) and denied it in minutes - even though the office supposedly authorized to review the request was closed.
Absolute nightmare! They basically stole our money. We are still ghosted. No stay and no refund. No Mathew. Booking is nowhere to be found as well. I never imagined I'd stumble onto fraud on this website specifically, which used to authenticate everyone and always provides excellent service.
