I had a wonderful experience at Villa Dida / Swahili Palace. It is a true treasure - a living museum rich in history, identity, and culture.
Surrounded by coconut trees, beautiful gardens, flowers, and peaceful corners overlooking the sea, the property offers a unique connection with nature. It has been thoughtfully designed to preserve the local fauna and blend harmoniously with its surroundings.
The rooms are carefully crafted, each reflecting the beautiful life story of the family. Every corner offers tranquil views and inviting spaces to pause, admire, and simply enjoy the moment.
There are three distinct buildings, each offering a different experience: safari-inspired accommodation, traditional Swahili design, and modern Zanzibarian style. Together, they create a wonderful journey through different architectural influences and ways of living.
The location is perfect for watching the sunrise and experiencing a rare sense of tranquillity, relaxation, and cultural richness. The property feels very safe, and every member of the team provides excellent customer service while preserving the authenticity of Zanzibarian culture and sharing their warmth and lovely personalities. The housekeeping standards are great.
The food was another highlight of my stay. I enjoyed delicious, healthy meals throughout the day, with a wonderful selection of local dishes and homemade treats, including cheese, yoghurt, honey, fresh pasta, and freshly squeezed juices.
I can't wait to return and discover the upcoming additions! Villa Dida / Swahili Palace is a living project, constantly evolving as the family continues to create, nurture, and make this special place even more extraordinary.

Really enjoyed my stay! The food was excellent, the staff were lovely and the owner was absolutely great too! The location right on the beach is beautiful, peaceful and quiet. Even added an extra night. I definitely recommend!

Il Resort di proprietà italiana è un luogo tranquilla sulla lunghissima spiaggia praticamente deserta!
Personale gentile, bella stanza molto ampia con veranda, giardino tropicale e piscina, lettini e ombrelloni su spiaggia antistante. Buon cibo. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo
Ho apprezzato che a pomeriggio inoltrato passa la cameriera a dare lo spray antizanzare e sistema la zanzariera sul letto a baldacchino!
Purtroppo in tutta Zanzibar c'è il problema che salta la luce, e quindi manca l acqua e internet, fino a quando si avvia il generatore

Ruhig gelegen, ideal um die Seele baumeln zu lassen und sich zu erholen! Besonders die Manager zeigen sich sehr engagiert und unterstützend.
Kleine Auswahl beim Frühstück, Bedienungspersonal sehr langsam. Getränke an der Bar nur wenig gekühlt und geringe Auswahl. Im Zimmer gab es nicht einmal einen bequemen Stuhl, um mal darin zu sitzen und gemütlich ein Buch zu lesen.
Die Küche ist keine Meisterleistung. Habe beispielsweise spicy chicken bestellt. Doch von „spicy“ nicht die Spur!
Für den bezahlten Preis gibt es andernorts (zB Ägypten) wesentlich mehr Leistung.
Für gutes Essen am besten externes Angebot nutzen - ca. 5 - 7 Minuten den Strand nach Süden laufen.
