Staircase is very ugly, but pleasantly surprise upstairs awaits a nice appartment with two large rooms and one bath room, nice kitchen, which our teenager used every day. The street is very quiet and the windows close so well, that even in the morning, we didn't wake from the school opposite. Then you walk 50m and you find yourself in the fantastic Marais with cool shops and nice restaurants every few meters. Special treat was the closeness to Rue Montorgueil, with the original 300 year old Patisserie Stohrer and many other beautiful food shops to admire, and soo beautiful. It is also in walking distance to the Forum Les Halles Shopping Mall, if you have a teenager. Apart from going to the Louvre, we never even left the area, we liked it so much.
The toaster was broken, but we have alerted the host when we left, so that the next guest will have it working.

Sweet little apartment in Le Marais. Fantastic location - a few steps away from Arts et Metiers metro station. Quiet street and building, a few steps away from numerous cafes and restaurants serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, and a few Carrefour grocery shops.
The apartment had plenty of mod cons including a smart tv, oven and stove top, washing machine and a really great shower. Two pullout sofa beds in addition to the main bedroom. Despite being a small apartment, it was really quite spacious.
The hosts were incredibly helpful and courteous. Couldn’t recommend them highly enough.
There was nothing that I didn’t like about this property. There were two rotating fans that helped us keep cool but didn’t spot any air conditioning unit. It wasn’t a big deal even during the high temperatures.
One thing to note is that our apartment was on the second floor, and there isn’t an elevator. You have to take the stairs. One of our party was an older lady with moderate mobility issues. She managed up to the second floor but others might not. Just to be aware of this.
