Such a special experience in the desert!
We really enjoyed the camel ride through the dunes at sunset, the 4x4 rides and the quad bike rides. The accommodation was very comfortable, with a private bathroom, hot water and a cozy bed. Dinner and breakfast were delicious, and the staff were kind, friendly and always ready to help. The Berber music around the fire under the breathtaking starry sky made the whole experience unforgettable.

A once-in-lifetime experience
If you’re weighing up which camp to go for amongst the hundreds, here’s everything you need to know about this one.
• You’re given a meeting point via WhatsApp 7 days before your stay. We opted for the quad biking before, which was about €85 for two people sharing a quad bike. It was just us on the quads, which meant it was a private experience and they stopped halfway to do some sandboarding. Which was so much fun. We we went on the quads at 5pm and then travelled by camel to the camp at 6pm.
• We left our bags at the meeting point during the quad biking. But then they transfer your bags via jeep to the camp. They did charge extra for the transport into the camp, but all of the camps do it. It’s very rare to find one that doesn’t. Which came to €60 each person.
• The location of this camp is deep into the desert - which is a good thing trust me. It’s about an hour and a half camel ride or a 25min Jeep ride. Where you stay, there’s a few other camps either side. But once you’re there you only really stay with yours. Your surrounded by the dunes and the stars in the night sky. On the camels they also stopped halfway for sandboarding, but it was quite busy with everyone trying to do it. Sandboarding was way more fun when we did it on our quad biking experience.
• The accommodation was really nice, especially given that you’re staying in the middle of the desert. This really is a bucket list, one-in-a-lifetime experience. Everyone should do.
• The dinner in the evening was well prepared. It was a mixture of Moroccan and even had some pasta on offer as well.
• We left around 8/9 am the next day. We had to get to the airport for 1pm, as we were flying straight back to Marrakech. Sahara Elegance arranged a taxi for us at a cost of about €100. It’s a 2 hour drive.
• Make sure to go out into the dunes at night and just sit on the dunes, surrounded by the stars. It’s such an experience.
• Also being able to have a shower after the camels was such a luxury.
You won’t be able to contact the staff on the booking.com listing. They just don’t respond for some reason. However about a week before your due to arrive, you’ll get a WhatsApp with all the information and they respond quickly via there.
The rooms didn’t have any fans or AC (understandable - you’re in the desert). But it was very hot to sleep in. We had to sleep with all the windows and doors open. But even then it’s hot. A fan would have made a huge difference.

A Relaxing Desert Stay with Friendly Staff and Good Food
From the moment we arrived, everyone was friendly and helpful. We really liked the atmosphere of the camp and the beautiful dunes around it. Dinner was tasty, and we enjoyed some tea in the evening. Our tent was comfortable and clean. Everything was well organized during our stay, and we had a very nice time.
