Overall, the hotel was excellent, and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. However, there were a couple of disappointing experiences worth mentioning.
When booking a room for two people through Booking.com, you might be surprised to discover upon arrival that your reservation has somehow been registered for only one guest, even if you originally selected two.
I’m not sure whether this is a technical issue with Booking.com or something on the hotel’s side, but the reception staff insisted that I pay an additional charge for the second guest.
What made the situation even more ridiculous was that I had booked a room with two separate beds, The receptionist continued insisting on the extra payment until I sarcastically asked, “So, am I supposed to sleep alone in two separate beds?
I firmly refused to pay the additional charge. Interestingly, after what appeared to be some hesitation in front of other guests, the demand was quickly dropped.
I found this experience quite strange and disappointing, especially for a hotel carrying the Hilton name.
I was encouraged to pay extra for a room upgrade with a river view. Unfortunately, the windows were so dirty that I could barely enjoy the view I had paid extra for.
It was particularly frustrating to pay a premium specifically for the view, only to find that the condition of the glass made the upgrade practically pointless.
