Lovely cosy cottage, equipped with everything that you need. The hosts also left some little goodies and staples for us (bread, milk, cake and crisps).

We appreciated the comfy settees, with side tables for drinks. The shower was good and hot with a choice between overhead and handheld sprays. The house book was useful with practical advice. The sudden cold and rainy spell was no problem with the heating being cranked up for us. We were also able to put extra heating on if we needed it, through a hive controller. THe kitchen was well-fitted out with very tasteful decor. The basket of extras, including a little bottle of sloe gin, was very welcoming. For us the cottage was in an ideal position with on-site parking and within walking distance of places to eat. (We didn’t cook there.) We loved having good quality and generously sized towels!
Personal preference I know, but I found the single twin beds too soft.

Situation Very dog friendly and relaxing welcome goodies were perfect on arrival
Good heating system
We found Double bed was not comfortable
Needed to concentrate to ensure we did not fall in garden and at night
The stairs and step down to the upstairs toilet was concerning for folk who need frequent toilet trips at night.
