White Waters Hotel & Spa Llangollen

Love the spa and the second room we got. Loved the scenery. The staff were great. one particular was a little bit loud and it felt like she was shouting at us instead of talking to us. The beds in the first room were very hard and very springy. You could feel the springs underneath you. We asked for an upgrade. We got really nice soft beds in the second room but the bottom sheets didn't fit very well. The owner and the night porter were really good and very polite. The cleaners asked us if there was anything that we needed and that was great and they were good to talk to.

Could see dirt that hadn't been cleaned like around the chandeliers downstairs and dust everywhere in the bedrooms. It stated on the booking that it was bed and breakfast but unfortunately there was no breakfast included. The rate of the room was okay but should be put down slightly due to no breakfast as the restaurant has been closed temporarily. In the first room we had the lighting above. The bed kept flickering off and dimming off. When we reported this to the night porter he documented it down to let the owner and the cleaners know. The cleaners went and checked it and said there was nothing wrong. So we tried it again the following night and it happened again. We think there might be an issue with the electric. In the second room the lighting was great. Just needed an extra plug next to the second bed. Even though there was no restaurant I would have thought they would have done some sort of continental breakfast as they do have a fridge and they do have tables that could be used for just breakfasts. It was a bit of a shame that we had to either go out for breakfast, lunch and tea or get a takeaway delivered to the hotel.

We really enjoyed our weekend here. My partner and I were impressed with how friendly the staff were, always smiling and would go above and beyond for us. Our room was lovely with a view of the river, so pretty. We had access to the pool that was lovely as it was quiet, relaxing and peaceful with just us in there. The bar was friendly and we got to choose music and n Alexa which we enjoyed. Lots to do in Llangollen, it is so beautiful. We walked around the village then visited the aqueduct that wasn’t far at all. The nightlife was surprisingly outgoing too, We caught a band in one bar then went to the sun inn later on meeting the locals. Overall this was a perfect little get away for us away from our busy lives. We will definetly be back again! And we look forward to our return :) thank you to all of the staff at white waters. Bar staff, reception staff and cleaners you were fab and made us most welcome 🥰

We were treated like family, it was lovely ambiance from the moment you walk through the door to leaving, the room we had was stunning, I would not book anywhere else again in that area, worth every penny and more

The hotel looks like it once had a good life.

The furniture in the room was tatty, cupboard handles falling off etc. The bathroom had a lot grout missing from the floor tiles which had accumulated debris from previous guests. The bar was only open 1 night. Restaurant was closed for the duration of our stay. There were no staff on the Sunday night. New guests couldn’t check in. The place was deserted.
