Everything about this hotel was outstanding, from its excellent location, spacious room, and beautiful views to the friendly service and dining options. The hotel is directly connected to the subway. The East Exit provides an elevator straight to the hotel lobby on the 19th floor. If you exit through the West Exit, you will arrive at The Gate Hotel Fukuoka by Hulic and need to walk another three minutes to reach One Fukuoka Hotel. Coffee shops, restaurants, supermarkets, and department stores are all within walking distance. The staff speak good English, and dinner at the hotel restaurant was excellent, with gorgeous views, delicious food, and reasonable prices. One of the highlights is the complimentary minibar, which includes red wine, beer, soft drinks, juice, mineral water, and snacks. The turndown service is equally thoughtful, providing extra bottled water, chocolates, an ice bucket, pajamas, and slippers. The bathroom deserves special mention for its thoughtful design, including double sinks, extra towels, a shower door that prevents water from splashing out, and a bathtub that fills remarkably quickly with excellent temperature control. The bidet toilet and dedicated spaces for luggage and personal belongings are also appreciated. Another great feature is the self-service laundry. Detergent is automatically dispensed, and a wash-and-dry cycle costs around ¥600. You can even check machine availability on the room TV, making it especially convenient for longer stays. The lounge and library offer complimentary drinks, wine, snacks, and ice cream. A sauna and public bath are also available, although we did not use them. When checking out, the front desk can arrange a taxi and help with luggage. Pick-up is at B3, sheltered from the rain. Taking the subway to the airport with large luggage can be challenging, especially during rush hours. A taxi costs around ¥3,000–3,500 and is well worth considering.

The main downsides are the relatively high room rates and limited TV options. All TV channels are in Japanese, and although you can log in to your own streaming accounts, there is limited content available otherwise. Unfortunately, there is no HDMI port to connect a laptop to the TV.
