This B and B is nearly perfect. The proprietor, Carmen, is delightful/helpful/accessible. The place is spotless, perfectly situated with lovely views and great restaurant next door. Breakfast is included and is wonderful. There is no reason to stay elsewhere.

We had a wonderful stay at AmbroSea in Vietri sul Mare—a charming, cozy hill town just outside Salerno with some good local restaurants. It’s an ideal base for exploring the Amalfi Coast, and we quickly discovered that taking the ferry is by far the best and easiest way to get around. Vietri sul Mare also has great train connections to Pompeii and Rome.
The room and common areas at AmbroSea are furnished to a top standard. Don’t be put off by the building's exterior; like most houses in town, it could use a bit of fresh paint, but inside it is excellent. The landlord, Carmen, served us delicious breakfasts every morning, and there is even a lovely, small family-run restaurant open right across the entrance in the evenings. We highly recommend AmbroSea!
