Nestled in the heart of the Duoro Valley, we had a wonderful stay at Casa Dona Edite and were blown away by the kindness and hospitality of the family that runs this place. They made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived.
The views of the Douro Valley vineyards and hills were stunning, and we especially loved the family-style dinners, where we met so many interesting people. Breakfast was excellent, with delicious homemade offerings each morning.
The amenities were modern and spotless, and we enjoyed relaxing by the pool and spending time with the friendly family dog. The family-made 25 year old port wine was also fantastic and a highlight of our stay.
Transfers to and from Pinhão were easy and convenient. Casa Dona Edite offers a warm, authentic Douro Valley experience, and we would happily return. Thank you for the lovely stay!

Excellent. The facilities were clean, the staff couldn’t be more accommodating and friendly, they went out of their way to help us with all our needs and requests. Highly recommended. Antonio was a great host.

This was one of our favorite stays of our whole trip in Portugal. It’s incredibly quiet, peaceful and beautiful. We could have spent days just sitting out on the beautiful garden. The room was spacious, bed was comfortable, and patio was a great additional space. We weren’t able to eat dinner at the hotel the specific night we stayed, but would recommend it over driving into town. Kira was the sweetest dog roaming the property. Would love to come back one day.
