The price of the property is below most of the higher end hotels I looked at and was 3 blocks from my kids apartment - so proximity was more important. The pictures represented some of the apartment and mostly everything in the apartment was maintained like a guys college apartment - old unmatched furniture, broken things, smashed lamp shades, the floors were sticky in places. The towels and pillow cases were very worn and stains on most. Stains on a very old comforters and decorative pillows. The doors and light switches in this place were like a blind pop person designed it. The shower curtain liner in 2nd bath attacks you the whole shower and tries to stick to your body - door opened and closed.
The AC was also not working for 3 days of the 6 day stay. I kept having to call and message the Pelican Residences to get it working. Keep running back to the apartment building to talk with them. Maintenance would keep coming, say it works and then it did not work 20 minutes later. It was hot and humid all the time and only the fan ran. Their maintenance for the building does not know what they are doing and they also use a Nest thermostat which does not work well if you are not there due to detecting someone and also using memory for the needs for who has used it recently. I have a feeling the apartment was empty before.
They were very responsive though!

The apartment building these apartments are contained within is fantastic. I enjoyed the pool and other amenities greatly. It was also very well located.
The specific room was a bit disappointing. The only image of it was the kitchen and unfortunately the quality of design and modernization was not consistent in the rest of the space. The couch, table, and bed were lovely but the tv stand and all side tables look like they were dragged out of a shabby attic. The other rooms pictured online all appeared much nicer so it was a bummer to get this one.
The cleaning was well kept in all areas except the bed. The comforter had pet hair all over it and when I asked for a replacement, they told me I could wash it in the machine. Doing laundry is not my responsibility and was a really lame solution.
So overall, I think the property has a lot of potential, but this specific room could use some care.

Overall good stay, however some feedback. The check-in was a little odd. The address listed on Expedia is different than the actual address. The property management company emailed a separate address and said not to mention booking with Expedia multiple times. Great space with a nice pool and coffee machine in lobby. Good location. The unit could use some extra seating at the table in kitchen. Had a table, but no chairs. Some stains on living room pillows and lampshades. Given only one trash bag for our 3 night stay.

Outstanding experience and definitely plan to stay at more of this property again. Our condo was perfect for us. The location took the cake as it was within walking distance to everything imaginable especially Bank of America stadium. Was able to communicate with the host the entire time with zero issues. Views were amazing. It was wonderful!!!
