Perfect location, friendly staff and clean rooms. Excellent view of the valley and mountains. Breakfast came out flat, no variety whatsoever. Having the same breakfast 5 days in a row was a bit of a challenge. Otherwise highly recommended

Staff were friendly and helpful and very available to take you on a quick ride to the train station if you choose not to walk. Breakfast and dinners were great at the hotel, but it would have been a viable option to have had dinner at local restaurants. If you want to relax after a day of hiking we found that having dinner at the hotel helps to slow the pace of the day. Rooms are on the small side (as expected in Switzerland) but we were only in the room to sleep. There is ample space to read and relax in the common areas and to enjoy the view at tables in front of the hotel. Great location for making day trips/hikes at Murren, Grindelwald. We chose to get the unlimited travel pass for area gondolas, trams and trains (about 200CHF for three days) and it was well worth the money. We also paid in advance for parking at the Lauterbrunnen station so things went a seamlessly (as expected in Switzerland). We stayed at the same hotel 8 years ago and had a similarly great experience on this visit. While expensive we found it worth the splurge.

The walk from hotel up hill to town is a good warmup for your hike!

The view from our balcony was amazing. The room was very comfortable and met our needs. The breakfast was good, but dinner selections were very limited. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
