The hotel is surrounded by a mangrove jungle, the buildings the rooms are in feel more authentic to surroundings than a modern hotel. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the guests are more international than you would find at your standard Hilton, which we loved. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We got the privlaged packaged which gave us the à la carte dining options. The sargassum was a lot but the hotel cleaned the beach everyday. The entertainment was just that, entertain. We will definitely use the Catalonia Brand of hotels again!

3rd time here,
now got the privilege superior room which is helping to get breakfast and lunch at the BLOVED restaurant next to beach but keep in mind the dinner there needs reservation. One thing reception people didn't mention.
Keep in mind steak is not as should be in US, here is marinated for days and then still cannot cook it right, The cartilages are tough, so maybe ask for chicken!!
used to be a restaurant Adelitas next to the pool but now they serve only dinner there, so you have to go back to main restaurant - abut 1000ft- 300m thru the jungle alley, it is nice but cumbersome- one good thing the alley is covered so shade all the time.
the crepe place near the pool is not good, they smear with cheese or jam and that is it. Economy, economy. also 3 yrs ago you could get Havana CLub 7yrs old for everybody not you get max 3yrs old for priviledge, that sucks. Rooms are nice the girls do an amazing job so please give a little tip, The rest of places DO NOT TIP, they dont care and don't deserve, plus they put all in a pool then divide so whatever.

Start with Vanessa and Ana in the lobby, we loved the Bloved restaurant (Quirino, Gabriela and Bernard are excellent). Laura clean our room every day. Steakhouse restaurant and buffet are great too. Also, the massage is very good too.
