Ok, so here's the thing. We didn't actually stay at Poipu shores. I've toured the property, it is lovely, and I will certainly rebook there !! But, there was maintenance being done to the property that meant it wasn't available. Castle management (thank you, Maile!!! you are amazing!!!!) reached out to me before the trip, and booked us in a phenomenal unit with their sister property, right down the road. 10/10, would absolutely recommend

The view was amazing! Our condo was so nice. I appreciated the quick responses from the property on any questions I had. The parking was tight but doable. Great area for everything!

Positives: The condo was RIGHT on the ocean shore. It was a stunning view, with sightings of turtles and even dolphins. The pool was nice and the front desk staff let us check in early and were kind. The kitchen had what we needed and there were plenty of extra pillows and blankets.
Negatives: The condo was pretty outdated and had a lot of sea salt damage, so rusted lamps, mirrors, handles, etc. The condo was also not very clean. Our feet were filthy after a few hours of walking barefoot in the unit. The master bedroom/bathroom smelled like urine. One of the linen closets also smelled terrible. We booked the unit for six people, but it was not big enough to accommodate six. One king bed, two twins, and a small pullout. One of my kids had to use the couch cushions to sleep on. The couches and chairs were pretty aged and didn’t smell or look clean.
BIG WARNING: you will be charged almost $500 in cleaning and taxes, in addition to what you thought you were going to pay. Be prepared.
